Job Description

The Marketing Project Management Intern will support the successful execution of Marketing campaigns and projects. The candidate will manage projects as assigned including stakeholder alignment, brief writing, communication strategy, collaboration, general project management and implementation of plans. Additionally, the Project Management Coordinator will be a liaison between cross-functional project team leads and other key contributors to ensure progress against stated goals and objectives are achieved. The Project Management intern will report to the Director of Project Management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all aspects of campaign planning including coordinating information, brief writing, communication strategy and channel planning.

  • Coordinate information across assigned projects, ensuring timely communication, project schedules, resource requirements, dependencies, and potential risks to deliverables throughout the project management lifecycle.

  • Learn risk mitigation to help minimize the need for escalation and prevent possible roadblocks.

  • Support project management by checking in on deadlines with team members and ensuring timelines are on track.

  • Learn how to distill complicated and detailed project updates into succinct yet transparent executive updates.

  • Learn how to proactively look for opportunities to drive change and improve both process and project outcomes.

  • Maintain an open and enthusiastic communication style with internal customers to facilitate a strong working atmosphere of customer focus, flexibility, and responsiveness.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing higher education in the form of accreditation, university, trade, etc.

  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)

  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.

  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
