GNC Internship - Product Development in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Internship in Product Develpment will focus on reviewing scientific literature and studies to support GNC4U.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing published literature on nutrition and genetics
Creating summaries of each study and entering it into a database
Information must be accurate and thorough
Create dataset that will become the reference document for the entire GNC4U project
Partner with cross-functional product development teams
Collaborate with the department to set category and product vision based on consumer insights and market potential
Actively participate in department meetings and conference calls
Adhere to quality and other required standards
Other duties as assigned
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Nutrition, Nutrigenomics or a related field
Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
